Solid Waste Transition Updates
Bryan County thanks its citizens for their patience as we navigate through the waste removal service provider transition in the coming days. Atlantic Waste Services and Republic Services are both working diligently to empty and remove all remaining Republic cans over the next several days.

TRAFFIC SHIFT PLANNED AS NEW FT. McALLISTER ROAD INTERSECTION IS ALIGNED WITH HIGHWAY 144
The newly constructed portion of the Ft. McAllister intersection is scheduled to be aligned with State Route 144 in what will be the final configuration of the intersection. APAC-Atlantic, Inc. plans to shift traffic on Ft. McAllister Road starting Monday, September 28 to accommodate the work.

State Route 144 widening project update
Due to the State Route 144 widening project, the section of 144 between Ogeechee Drive to McCrae Drive is scheduled for construction beginning Thursday, March 26. During this phase of the project, the intersections of 144 and Strathy Hall Road and 144 and Steele Wood Drive will be closed.

COUNTY RESCHEDULES TEMPORARY DETOURS FOR PORTIONS OF BELFAST RIVER, HARRIS TRAIL ROADS DUE TO INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
Belfast River Road will be temporarily detoured to thru traffic at the intersection of Harris Trail Road, and on Harris Trail Road at the intersection of Port Royal Road. The road closures were postponed and are now scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 and end at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10.

Leveling Operations at Belfast River/Keller Roundabout
PMI will be performing leveling operations at the Belfast River/Keller roundabout for two nights taking place from 7 p.m.-6 a.m. Sunday and Monday, Sept. 29-30.
