The Bryan County Assessors' Office locates, inventories, and sets values for all taxable property within Bryan County. The Board of Assessors is appointed and charged by law with the responsibility of independent oversight and preparation of the annual local property assessments. Assessment Notices were mailed on 06/18/24 and the last day for filing an appeal was 08/02/24. All appeals must be made in writing on the proper form. You may return appeal forms by mail or in person at one of our offices. You can now view Assessment Notices online for every parcel on our public website.
We will not accept any appeals sent in via e-mail or fax. All mail must be postmarked by the deadline in order to be considered. Metered mail date stamps do not count as a postmark. See the Appeals tab on the left for forms and more information. It is important to note that the Assessors' Office does not set the tax rate, nor are we involved in any way with collecting taxes. The primary function of the Assessors' Office is to value property in a fair and uniform manner. |
