Thank you for visiting the Bryan County Clerk’s site. It is an honor to serve the citizens of Bryan County in my position as the County Clerk to the Bryan County Board of Commissioners. The Bryan County Clerk is appointed and reports to the Board of Commissioners. The Clerk serves as the custodian of all records approved by the Board of Commissioners, including meeting minutes, resolutions, ordinances, and contracts, provides research of Commission records, assists the County Administrator with the preparation and distribution of the agenda and commission work books, and assists the Board with administrative functions. The County Clerk is designated as the Open Records Officer and the Deputy County Clerk is designated as the Alternate Open Records Officer to act in the Open Records Officer’s absence, both to act for Bryan County and all of its related subsidiary entities as defined in the Act, herein the “County”. The term “county and all its related and subsidiary entities” includes all county departments and entities but does not include the following departments: Sheriff’s Department, E-911 Department, Tax Commissioner, Probate Court, and Clerk of Courts. All written requests for records made under the Act directed to the County shall be made to the Open Records Officer or, in his or her absence, to the alternate.
