The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office will serve the citizens of Bryan County by professionally and efficiently maintaining peace, protecting life, protecting property and providing service to the community in accordance with the laws of the United States of America and the State of Georgia. More specifically, the duties of the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office include operating the Bryan County Detention Center, serving as an officer of the Courts to provide safety and security, and serving criminal warrants, subpoenas, and civil processes. 

The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office currently provides court security for one Superior Court Courtroom, The State Court, The Magistrate Court, and The Juvenile Court of Bryan County. In addition, we provide for the overall security of the Courthouse. The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office monitors sex offenders, investigates and pursues prosecution of offenders in violation. The Bryan County Sheriffs Office not only handles the courts but also enforces all laws within the unincorporated and incorporated areas of the county. The Sheriff’s Office operates the Bryan County Detention Center. Our total maximum inmate capacity is 68.
