All dogs and cats four (4) months of age and older, are required by Chapter 6 of the Bryan County Code of Ordinances to have a pet license and current rabies vaccination within Bryan County, Incorporated and Unincorporated. A license tag helps animal control quickly identify an animal and return them to their owners safely. Anyone who locates or recovers a stray animal with a rabies tag is encouraged to contact Bryan County Animal Control.

You may obtain your license from a participating vet when the pet is vaccinated or you may come to a Bryan County Customer Service office in Pembroke or Richmond Hill.  If you plan to obtain a pet license at a Customer Service office please bring the rabies certificate and exact cash or check. No application needed.

The Bryan County Board of Commissioners approved the following fee structure: License fees for dogs and cats will range from $5.00 to $15.00 per animal depending on whether your pet received a 1 year or 3 year rabies vaccination.

Keep the rabies tag on your pet's collar. It will serve as the animal's proof of license. Make sure to renew your pet's vaccination and license when they expire.
