Our Alcohol License renewal process has changed.  Renewing online is now the FASTEST and most efficient way to renew your license!  Review the steps below and, when ready, enter the portal by clicking the button to begin the process.

Don't Forget! In addition to renewing your local county license, you must also renew your state license through the Georgia Department of Revenue.  For questions regarding state licensing, visit the State of Georgia Department of Revenue website.

Things to know before you begin:

All Alcohol Licenses expire on December 31st of each year.  Applications for renewal should be initiated before December 9th, in order to ensure timely processing.  Applications submitted after January 31st are not eligible for renewal, and a new application will be required.

  • Step 1: Complete/Gather All Required Documents -
    • Local Registered Agent Consent Form - All licensed establishments must maintain a local registered agent in Bryan County, unless the Named Licensee resides here.  Update this form only if your registered agent has changed.
    • Change in Named Licensee - If the ownership of the licensed establishment is the same, but you need to update/change the Named Licensee (the individual primarily responsible for the operation of the licensed premises), then the following must be submitted with the renewal.  Any change in business ownership requires a new application.
      • Personal Statement of Facts - The new Named Licensee must complete the Personal Statement of Facts form.
      • Criminal History Consent Forms - The new Named Licensee must complete and submit the required Criminal History Consent forms.
      • Affidavit Verifying Citizenship Status - The new Named Licensee must complete and submit an Affidavit Verifying Citizenship Status.
      • Copy of an unexpired Government issued I.D. - The new Named Licensee must provide a copy of their unexpired government issued I.D.
  • Step 2: Login/Gain Access to Portal - If you are renewing a license, an account has already been created for you.  If your email address was previously provided, you should be able to access your account by selecting "Login" and entering your email address. If your email is not found, contact us so we can update your contact information.
  • Step 3: Complete Background Check - If there is a change in the Named Licensee, then fingerprinting/background checks will be required for the new individual.  Within 2-3 business days of submitting your renewal application, you will receive an invoice for a $65 non-refundable investigative fee which must be paid prior to referring you to fingerprinting agency.  Once paid, you will receive a follow-up email with specific instructions for completing the background check.  Results from a background check are usually available within one week of being fingerprinted. Persons holding a license for more than one establishment in Unincorporated Bryan County, will only pay one investigative fee.
  • Step 4: Pay Annual License Fees Online - Once your renewal application is completed and your license renewal has been processed, you will receive an emailed invoice with instructions to pay your annual license fee.    Do not send payment for fees until after you receive an invoice from our office.
