Inspection Services 

 The Building and Codes Division is responsible for performing all residential and commercial inspections in unincorporated Bryan County.  Bryan County Building Inspectors are qualified to perform inspections under the following codes:

• International Building Code (ICC)
• National Electrical Code (NFPA)
• International Fuel Gas Code (ICC)
• International Mechanical Code (ICC)
• International Plumbing Code (ICC)
• International Residential Code for One-and Two-Family Dwellings (ICC)
• International Energy Conservation Code and
• International Fire Code

To assist a permittee through the inspection process, the Inspection Check List identifies the inspections steps in the applicable permit process.

Scheduling an Inspection 

Once a permit has been issued, the permittee may schedule inspections via the public portal (Evolve).  Inspections scheduled before 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, will generally be performed the next business day.  If an inspection is scheduled, but a permittee needs to cancel, the permittee must cancel the inspection by 8:15 a.m. the day of the inspection.  Failure to cancel in a timely manner may result in a failure and re-inspection fee.  If you need assistance in scheduling or canceling a permit, contact Dawn Monaco 912-756-7962 / dmonaco@bryancountyga.gov or Samantha Frantz sfrantz@bryancountyga.gov.
